Pat Castillo’s passion lies in working with members of the community to make long-lasting change especially as it relates to prevention. She is known for her high energy, infectious laugh. Pat has worked for the Commission for over 10 years, and in that time, she has expanded the Commission’s prevention programs, practices, and environmental strategies. Pat’s previous positions include the Director of Youth Programs and Senior Director.


In her current role as Vice President, Pat provides the leadership and direction for all of the Commission’s initiatives. She is responsible for all day-to-day operations, including budgeting, personnel, contract oversight, grant management, and the vision for all the Commission’s prevention initiatives.


Her joy lies in developing and maintaining working relationships with members of the community. No greater “high” comes when working on creative, innovative projects that will ultimately help children and adults in the community to live healthy, drug freelives.


Pat obtained her Bachelor's of Arts, majoring in Applied Social Sciences from Concordia University in 1988 and spent ten years working throughout the correctional system; working the front lines in a half way house to a parole officer to her last position as Assistant Warden of Programs in Grand Valley Institute for Women.
